Moving Image Arts GCSE and A-Level

Moving Image Arts GCE is a new vocational qualification offered by CCEA that offers students the opportunity to participate in hands-on digital filmmaking in the classroom. Students are assessed on the basis of their own 3-5 minute film or animation production and through a unique online examination.

Since the introduction of Moving Image Arts at AS level in the academic year 2003/4, the Nerve Centre has provided teacher-training programmes, learning resources and ongoing technical support through the Creative Learning Centre. The Nerve Centre's Director is currently Chief Examiner of the GCE and several films made at the centre, including the Oscar-nominated Dance, Lexie, Dance, feature on the course content.
