This site contains fun interactive activities about family, friendships, bullying and diversity. The activities support the delivery of Personal Development and Mutual Understanding at Key Stage 1 . Sarah and the Whammi is based on the television drama series of the same name which was originally shown on Channel 4. The series can be accessed on the Learning NI website. Creative Learning in a Digital Age
Key Stage 3 & 4

Northern Ireland Screen 's Digital Film Archive was originally constructed as a public access resource of moving image material of Northern Ireland from 1897-2000. The new creative learning in the digital age website includes an archive of moving images with exemplars including teachers' notes, exercises and contextual and assessment material.


Culture Northern Ireland

CultureNorthernIreland is NI's leading arts and cultural website, covering music, literature, heritage, sport, dance, theatre, the visual arts and much more besides. With thousands of articles, reviews, profiles, images and multimedia content, CNI is a unique and exciting resource.

CultureNorthernIreland is a project of the Nerve Centre, in Derry, in partnership with Audiences NI, funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland.



Diversity Online

Diversity Online is a multimedia online learning environment dealing with issues of cultural diversity in Northern Ireland.
A series of interconnected modules on community relations and cultural diversity are designed to introduce users to some of the key areas of social and cultural life in contemporary Northern Ireland. The modules enable the user to explore the importance of the different facets of identity here and to engage with the variety of viewpoints and opinions that co-exist in Northern Ireland today.


CCEA's Moving Image Arts Microsite

This CCEA resource supports the teaching of Moving Image Arts at GCE and GCSE. The website contains the subject specifications, exemplar examinations, mark schemes and other practical information required for the teaching of Moving Image Arts. On the front page you will find an interview with Northern Ireland's Oscar nominated cinematographer Seamus McGarvey.



Foyle Film Festival

The 22nd Foyle Film Festival celebrates ‘Art & The Cinema' – embracing cinema as an art form in itself but also as the magical vehicle that can give the audience an exciting and inspiring glimpse into other artistic worlds. Among some of the films screening this year are movie gems such as The Red Shoes,which explores the intense and competitive world of ballet. This Powell and Pressburger classic is widely acknowledged as one of the best films ever made, but also as the perfect example of cinema as an artistic medium.

The festival's education programme has become a regular event in the school year providing screenings, workshops, and special events aimed at primary, secondary schools, and colleges.
